Well… it certainly wasn’t pretty, that’s for sure. The defense got gashed for a couple of really big plays (probably due to them being on the field so damn much), and the offense was sputtering pathetically along like it did at the beginning of the season. But we got the win. After all, there are no style points in the NFL, and that’s three ten-win seasons in a row for DeMeco. I think it’s pretty clear that the team was sleepwalking a bit and looking ahead to the next game (especially since we held out a couple of key players on both sides of the ball, presumably so they’ll be rested and ready to go on the short week), but even so, maybe we needed a rough game like this in order to wake a few people up.
