A few random neural firings:
- I almost forgot it was Cinco de Mayo yesterday. I made myself a “white trash margarita” (tequila + Baja Blast Mountain Dew).
- Also, last night I was reminded that I’ve never cared about anything less than the Met Gala.
- Today is my mom’s 64th birthday. “When I’m Sixty-Four” by the Beatles self-rec.
- In a couple of weeks, my wife and I are going to New Orleans for our church’s Synod Assembly. We were selected to be two of the lay-member voters along with our pastors, because the local bishop is retiring and we have to elect a new one. I explained this to my 15-year-old son, who replied, “Is the bishop retiring because he can only move diagonally?”
