I have another article on the home page, it contains a link to a HogsHaven Part 3 article on the topic of NFL injuries, so please go check it out and use the HyvorTalk comments section over on my other article to discuss.
One of the areas of study was on player position and player size. Puts the question of QB size and injuries to the test.
Injuries: Does Size Really Matter?
Redskins SBN website did a 3-part series of articles on NFL injuries. It’s a topic that deserves it’s own real estate here, so here it is.
I will say this: I’m generally skeptical of data-driven studies, especially in sports, because I just think there can be blind spots that occur even in the most well-intentioned person’s process of the collection and “analysis” of the data. We usually end up with more questions than answers.
I did a search using the words NFL injuries and size, and one of the top relevant search results was this Part 3 article at HogsHaven. I did a cursory skim of the article, but it seems compelling as at least an initial starting point. Are there other similar articles out there? If so, please provide links in the comments section.
This article segments injuries by position group, including a subset for each group based on a criteria such as “size.”
