FRIDAY DISCUSSION QUESTION:
Okay, here’s the deal… you can bring back one offensive player and one defensive player, in their prime, from any past Texans team. And the prime years you pick from must have been with the Texans (so no aging retreads like Ed Reed or Ahman Green). Who do you pick?
The easy answer would be 2008 Andre Johnson and 2014 J.J. Watt — a Hall of Famer and a future Hall of Famer, each at the top of their game. And yes, while I realize how tempting (and awesome) that would be, this team has more pressing needs at the moment. We’ve already got a really good stable of receivers (let’s include Nico, despite the injury), and we have two legit pass rushers in Will Anderson and Danielle Hunter.
So personally, I would go with 2010 Arian Foster on offense. Yes, Joe Mixon has been good when healthy, but Foster had the ability to elevate our running game to a whole ‘nother level. Plus, in that year he led the league in both rushing yards (1,616) and rushing touchdowns (16). And on defense, I’d go with 2018 Justin Reid, since our biggest liability right now is our safeties, and in his breakout rookie season, Reid had 70 solo tackles, a forced fumble, and three interceptions (including a pick-six). What would be your choices and why?

Everybody dance now!
Here is the dome, back with the bass
The jam is live in effect and I don’t waste time
On the mic with a dope rhyme
Jump to the rhythm, jump, jump to the rhythm, jump
And I’m here to combine
Beats and lyrics to make your shake your pants
Take a chance, come on and dance…

Ranking the remaining teams on our schedule…
#1 – Chiefs (5-0)
They remain the best team in the NFL until proven otherwise… which we’re gonna do.
#2 – Lions (4-1)
I wanted the Lions to win the Super Bowl last year, and they’re still in the mix.
#3 – Ravens (4-2)
Lamar Jackson is the ugliest dude in the NFL, but he’s had our number thus far.
#4 – Packers (4-2)
I’d call this one a pretty even match, honestly. We need to make a statement next week.
#5 – Jets (3-3)
I’m not scared of old man Rodgers, his dysfunctional bullshit, and an interim head coach.
#6 – Colts (3-3)
We beat them once, we can beat them again. Also, they lost to the Jags (LOL).
#7 – Dolphins (2-3)
They’re a lost cause without Tua, and their only wins are against the Jags and the Pats (pre-Maye).
#8 – Cowboys (3-3)
Dak has fluctuated between mediocre and terrible all season. “Soft rebuild” indeed…
#9 – Titans (1-4)
The BESFs are only slightly less hapless than the Jags. They shouldn’t have fired Mike Vrabel.
#10 – Jags (1-5)
The Jags are circling the drain, and Doug Pederson is a dead man walking.
