Tuesday’s thread.
Lawsuit Thread 4-13 and 4-14-2021
We’ll keep it here for Wednesday’s discussions.
Daily Thread 4-12-2021
Monday’s daily thread. As a reminder, there’s a separate thread (go to the home page to see it listed) for the Watson Lawsuit discussions. Seems like it’s been a good arrangement, so everyone keep up the good work.
Lawsuit Thread 4-12-2021
Monday’s thread for discussing the Watson lawsuits.
Daily Thread 4-10-2021: Weekend Discussion
Have a good weekend, y’all. 🙂
Lawsuit Thread 4-10-2021
I think one thread will work for both Sat. & Sun.
Daily Thread 4-9-2021
TGIF. Remember: Lawsuit talk is for the lawsuit thread.
Lawsuit Thread 4-9-2021
Friday’s discussion thread for all things Watson lawsuit.
Daily Thread 4-8-2021
I’m going to experiment with dual threads each day. In order for this to work, everyone has to play along though. If there is a lawsuit thread, the main daily thread will not contain any shred, no matter how small, of comments about lawsuit stuff. This is a zero tolerance policy. Comments will be deleted and replies, as well, until the habit dissolves over time.
And there’s no need to bring to people’s attention that there’s new “important” details over in the lawsuit thread–Y’all are capable of proactively choosing to go over to it if you want to.
Thirdly, it’s fine if someone needs to reply to someone with letting them know about this new method and help ’em out by maybe even including the link to it. I don’t know how much I will be in the daily thread Thurs. and Fri., so there’s no telling when I will get around to cleaning up the inevitable slip-ups. Just politely reply to someone and let them know where to find lawsuit convos.
Fourthly, I expect the lawsuit thread to be CIVIL (pun intended). It isn’t going to become a Wild West town where there are no laws and folks can gunsling and get drunk and shoot up the town. This is my anxiousness about this idea of a separate thread: That it will become some sort of alternate realm or pirate’s cove where people can twist off and get edgy with one another. Not happening. If it does, I will need to reevaluate.
In my days at TexansTalk, they had such a concept and it sucked. People would invariably drift back over into the main daily discussion threads and sort of make little references to convos held at the other thread, which like one domino being tipped over it then set off more dominos tumbling over. People carried over grudges from spats in the other thread, impacting their interactions in the main daily thread to where bystanders knew and felt the awkwardness going on. It was just generally a total s*** show every day.
In concept, it seems like it should work. But history has not smiled kindly upon the idea that two separate worlds could remain truly separate. This is an experiment that I will try but admittedly have little confidence that it will work as intended. Nonetheless we’ll give it a go. So it’s up to the community to row the boat on this idea. Row well. 🙂
Lawsuit Thread 4-8-2021
This is the ongoing lawsuit thread, and there will be a fresh one each day. Please read the rest of this novel before proceeding with comments here.
