Aaron Wilson report has a source claiming “this is no knock on Jack” and that “it was just time,” but the last paragraph seems to signal that Easterby pushing for McCown might’ve been the tipping point; a “bridge too far” moment perhaps?

I think Nick’s competence and demeanor rendered Jack unnecessary to the advancement of this organization. It takes Cal a longer time than most to come to realizations, but at least it’s happened and we are rid of that fraudulent grifter Jack Easterby.
