I won’t celebrate injuries, but it’s the Jags, so I don’t have to mourn them either. Let’s take this division.

Ankle get stepped on (video 1) consistent with a sprain.
Knee goes into hyperflexion (video 2) which is a common mechanism for a PCL injury.

We’re currently 12 games into the season, and Nico Collins has 991 yards and six touchdowns. He’s averaging 16.8 yards per reception, and he’s currently projected to finish the season with 1,440 receiving yards and nine touchdowns (although I’d wager he gets even more with Tank out now). Anyway, if that happened, he would have sixth best season by a Texans receiver ever…
#1 – Andre Johnson, 1598 yards, 4 TDs (2012)
#2 – Andre Johnson, 1575 yards, 8 TDs (2008)
#3 – DeAndre Hopkins, 1572 yards, 11 TDs (2018)
#4 – Andre Johnson, 1569 yards, 9 TDs (2009)
#5 – DeAndre Hopkins, 1521 yards, 11 TDs (2015)
#6 – Nico Collins, 1440 yards, 9 TDs (2023)

Discussion Question: Could the 2023 Texans’ draft class actually be our best draft class ever?

In 1783, exactly 240 years ago today, a 5.3 magnitude earthquake hit New Jersey.
And as evidenced by both the Giants and the Jets, it’s still a disaster up there.

Apropos of nothing, last night I went down a rabbit-hole of research into British history during the so-called Dark Ages, including archeological excavations of Anglo-Saxon and Viking artifacts, and now I just wanna re-watch The Northman.
