Well folks, the NFL Combine has officially begun, and it looks like the Texans have already met with the four top quarterback prospects. I realize that Young is the choice of the majority, but assuming we get someone else, who would you rather have? Stroud, Richardson, or Levis?

Happy Thursday! I’d just like to say that my ex-wife is taking our kids to the Muse concert at the Toyota Center tonight, since Muse is my 13-year-old’s favorite band. However, they’re also one of my favorite bands, ever since I heard their 2009 album The Resistance and their sound reminded me a lot of Queen (my all-time favoritest band ever). Aside from the aforementioned album, I also really like Absolution and Black Holes & Revelations. Plus, their latest release, Will of the People, was among my Top 5 Favorite Albums of 2022.
So yeah, that’s what’s going on in Houston today. Sorry, guys. I promise the NFL Draft is coming soon.

Meh, no intro today. I’m tired and my kids have been acting crazy. Deal with it, mofos.
Still… ya know… go Texans.

It’s about time for the NFL Scouting Combine, and according to Vandy, he and John Harris are gonna have Nick Caserio on Texans All Access tonight, and DeMeco Ryans on tomorrow night. So hopefully we’ll get a bit of interesting chatter from those guys.

Happy Monday, ladies and gents! Our very own Houston Roughnecks remain undefeated, having taken down the hated Arlington Renegades with a score of 23-14. Also, the Texans officially announced their 2023 Coaching Staff a couple of days ago, so there’s that. Otherwise, there’s not much to report except for the fact that AT&T SportsNet is going away soon, so the Astros might actually be on a normal cable channel this season.
Weekend Thread
Howdy, folks! As you may recall, I’m away this weekend on a Boy Scout camping trip, so you’ll have to survive without me (somehow). I should be back on Sunday morning — smelly and disgusting — but regardless, I went ahead and scheduled the Roughnecks game thread to drop at 5:30pm on Sunday (half an hour before the game starts). We’re playing the hated Arlington Renegades.
On a totally unrelated note, today (Saturday) is International Sword Swallowers Day!

Well, this afternoon I’m leaving to go on a Boy Scout camping trip with my 13-year-old son. I get to sleep on the ground in the woods and hang out with a bunch of junior high boys all weekend. Pray for my back and for my sanity.

Well ladies and gents, it looks like the BESFs are in full burn-it-down mode. Yesterday they released Robert Woods (WR), Taylor Lewan (OT), Randy Bullock (K), and Zach Cunningham (LB). They also hired Tim Kelly to be their new offensive coordinator (LOL), and might be moving on from 34-year-old QB Ryan Tannehill. Are there any good Titans players y’all might have your eye on if they get released or traded?

“Voilà! In view, a humble vaudevillian veteran, cast vicariously as both victim and villain by the vicissitudes of Fate. This visage, no mere veneer of vanity, is a vestige of the vox populi, now vacant, vanished. However, this valorous visitation of a by-gone vexation, stands vivified and has vowed to vanquish these venal and virulent vermin van-guarding vice and vouchsafing the violently vicious and voracious violation of volition. The only verdict is vengeance; a vendetta, held as a votive, not in vain, for the value and veracity of such shall one day vindicate the vigilant and the virtuous. Verily, this vichyssoise of verbiage veers most verbose, so let me simply add that it is my very good honor to meet you and you may call me V.”
