Thread for discussions prior to the 11 a.m. Rounds 4 – 7. The Rounds 4 – 7 Thread(s) will begin posting at 10:50 a.m. Central Time this morning. There will be a Sunday Post-Draft Discussion Thread posted on Sunday morning.
NFL DRAFT Round 3: PART 2
RD 3: Part 2 thread.
NFL DRAFT Round 3: PART 1
RD 3: Part 1 thread.
NFL DRAFT Round 2: PART 2
RD 2: Part 2 thread.
NFL DRAFT Round 2: PART 1
RD 2: Part 1 thread. P-L-E-A-S-E read the stuff below.
I will have threads scheduled to release tonight. There will be 3 more RD. 2 threads posted on a quick schedule so that there’s always another overflow thread to head into when needed.
There will be an initial RD. 3 thread posted, and then 3 more subsequent RD. 3 threads posted after that in quick succession as outlined above.
Please migrate to the right thread(s) when comment count reaches 200 in each thread–Any more than that and it tends to glitch on people and run sluggish. I will need help from y’all tonight and tomorrow for herding everyone into the right thread. Some of the threads might not get used, and that’s OK. Do a good job of judging the situations and use or not use threads accordingly. NO, you don’t need to use an empty RD. 2 Part 3 or 4 thread if it’s RD. 3…just go on into the right thread please. I can come back in and delete un-used threads as necessary by checking on on things from time to time.
HEADS UP ON A FEW THINGS:
PICK SPOILING: Anything goes tonight. The networks are going to be so far behind that it’s impossible to wait several minutes. If for some reason they’re moving things along on schedule, if the lag is just 20 or 30 seconds or so behind twitter spoilers, then please try and wait until one of the tv networks announces it. I’ll let y’all discuss and decide how to handle that for Rounds 2 and 3.
WEEKEND THREADS:
- There will be a Pre-Draft Discussion Thread for Saturday morning.
- Rounds 4 – 7 Thread(s) will begin posting at 10:50 a.m. for an 11 a.m. Central Time start time for those Rounds. Herd yourselves to the right threads. I created and scheduled FOUR PARTS for Saturday, and I think that will suffice. I doubt pick spoiling matters here, so do whatever y’all want to do.
- There will be a Sunday Post-Draft Discussion Thread that posts Sunday morning.
I am out of town until Saturday night.
Rd. 1, Pick #3: Derek Stingley Jr. , CB, LSU
CB1 was the pick at #3 overall. The past few weeks have been rigorously delved into whether you believed one guy at CB1 was better at #3 than the other guy. Stingley ends up being the choice.
As I stated in the other thread for Kenyon Green, this thread is for hashing it all out but mostly for focusing on the guy we DO have. He’s the one we need to learn more about, even if he already knew a lot about him. Chat it up.
Rd. 1, Pick #15: Kenyon Green, OG, Texas A&M
Well, everyone wondered and maybe even anticipated or perhaps wanted Caserio to trade down. He does, and it sees the Texans draft an IOL in Kenyon Green, OG, Texas A&M.
This thread is for posting reactions from the draftniks, such as their tweets and some clips of the newest Texan Offensive Lineman out of College Station. Cuss and discuss the selection, and let’s make this a good place to rally to for awhile as we get to know our new addition to the Texans roster.
